Christmas Cards

For everyone that sent Christmas Cards I wonder, how did you do it. I had the best of intentions last year to send them out. I bought the cards and the stamps and never got around to it. This year I got one step further, I even had a family picture taken still the cards never got written. Perhaps by next year I'll be able to get them into the mail box or what is the etiquette for sending out cards when you know they are late?
