The day started with a bang and tears when the little boy took a tumble in the camper and cut his face while we were trying to get dressed. Other than that, and the struggles at nap and bed time (too many places to explore to want to stop for a nap) it was a great day. I even managed to pull out my old girl guide skills and bake three individual cakes in the fire, in orange peels.
Doing some drumming on a rock (the drumsticks were decorated by the end of the week) before our morning bike ride and visit to the dog beach.
Showing off a cool rock that Daddy found. Rocks are very cool and many pockets and containers were filled with rocks over the trip.
Malcolm's 2nd birthday cake, with one blue and one green candle (apparently this was very important as he talked about the candles for a week), and blueberries in the cake.

Happy birthday Malcolm! You had the coolest cake. The camping trips sounds like it was lots of fun and adventure - just right for a 2 year old!
