The Little Blue Door

I'm enjoying the opportunity to read with Malcolm in the evening before bed. For the past few years it has been Ashley that gets to read books with Malcolm while I worked with Farley, but now the roles have switched. Malcolm doesn't need anyone reading to him, he can read the books we are reading to himself, but it is such an enjoyable activity to share that I don't see us stoping anytime soon. I still have fond memories of my dad reading chapter books at bedtime.

This past summer I read Charlotte's Web and now we are working on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I keep thinking of all the books and authors that I want to share with him Farley Mowat, Jean Little, Judy Blume, Enid Blyton etc. and I almost get overwhelmed about where to start and where to find the time.
