The Little Blue Door

Keep up with our Family Growing Up Behind The Little Blue Door

Sunday, February 28, 2010

As part of our trip to Montreal this weekend I took the boys to Dad's (aka Papa T's) church on Sunday. I've taken Malcolm to church on a handful of occasions, but not enough for him to really get it.
This time I was talking him through the order of service and what each of the parts were; I called the readings and the sermon 'Stories', said that he would get to greet the other people in the church when we were going to pass the peace, and told him he would get blessed when we went up for communion.
My favorite part was when I told Malcolm he had a role to play in the prayers of the people by saying who he wanted to pray for. His response, I want to pray for a cookie. I explained that praying and wishing were not quite the same, so he revised his prayer and said he wanted to pray for Daddy.

It was a treat to have the three of you in church. Why not pray for a cookie, we all want world peace and abundant food? What kind of cookie? we could pay for a cookie to whare with others. Papa T

PS did he like the singing?
