The Little Blue Door

When Malcolm was born I followed the instructions on how to first register his birth with the city and then apply for a Birth Certificate from the province. I then waited. And waited. And waited... After waiting for so long I then tried to follow up with the province (because he city said don't contact us) to find out what the status of the application only to be on hold for hours, and then find out that the city had not forwarded the registration yet.

The following day the rejection of the registration came in the mail saying the printing was too dark. It only sat in their office unopened for months before someone even looked at it.

This time around the Province and Federal government has synchronized the registration and birth certificate application and it is now done on-line. Today, only two weeks after Farley was born, and even less since I submitted the online application, his Birth Certificate arrived at our door.

I'm impressed.
