The countdown is on. While most are focusing on the 25 day countdown to Christmas our house is also on the countdown to baby arrival, 30 days +/-. That is not to say that we are not on Santa watch with our Advent Calendars and candles, which is still a big focus right now.
The biggest difference between Christmas countdown and Baby countdown is we know definitively when Christmas will arrive, the baby is a whole other story. Not knowing if we will have three stockings hung on the mantle this year or four (I have managed to get that task checked off my list) is strange. Not knowing if I should by buying "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornaments or not is frustrating. Not knowing if our Christmas morning will be interrupted or not is out of my control.
I'm okay with all of this, and glad I'm not one of those extreme 'planner' types. I'm just going to go with the flow and Baby will arrive when they are good and ready in December or January, 2009 or 2010. Just not in the next two weeks okay?
