The Zoo

According to Malcolm it isn't vacation time unless we go to the zoo. It was in our plans, but the amount of time that M talked about it before the fact cemented the fact that it had to be done.

Auntie Dorothy kindly let us stay at her place for a little visit and came along with us for the day at the zoo. The weather was a little iffy when we set out, and I didn't expect Malcolm was going to hold out for the whole day but both situations worked out in our favor. We even managed to cross paths with Jen, Graham and Essen not once but twice, and had lunch with our friends. If we had tried to plan for that it would never have worked.

After lunch it rained a little so we took cover in the Lion tunnel and a tired Malcolm fell asleep in the stroller. The rain passed and we got to spend the whole afternoon at the Zoo. Malcolm missed seeing some of the animals but the little bit of sleep he had was much more important.

My favorite animals had to be the giraffes and the gorillas. I think Malcolm's favorites were the orange monkey's and the spider monkeys (he did a great giggle when we saw them).
